what I DO

Everything that I encounter in my travels  informs my work: a morning walk in the city, an afternoon in the mountains, a stain on the sidewalk, an old billboard.  All these things are incorporated into my work which is not a series of many paintings, but one great painting created in parts. I have created a world, a visual language that references my African ancestry and African American experience, but is not limited by it. This visual language reflects my spiritual beliefs and my physical reality. I us my aesthetic to inform my work as a Production Designer. I design interiors for commercial and theatrical productions,  and that also influences my approach and aesthetic. I study the interaction of fine art with interior design and public spaces. Commissions and collaborations are welcome.
